What is The Pursuit Wine Bar Wine Club?
The Pursuit Wine Bar Wine Club is a monthly selection of three wines hand-picked by Kathleen and Thomas. These are the wines that we are personally enjoying and the bottles that you would most likely find sitting on our kitchen table.
How does it work?
Members pay $65 per month (plus tax) and can pick up their wines during our Release Party on the second Wednesday of each month. Members also get a free half-glass pour of each of the three wines during the Release Party. Non-Members can try the three wines as a flight for $15, so feel free to bring a friend!
Along with your three wines, you will receive our personal tasting notes, information on why we love these wines so much, background information on the winemakers and wine production, and recipe suggestions for pairing with the wines.
You enrollment must be confirmed by the 25th day of the month prior to your Club Membership launch. For example, to start your Club Membership during the month of October, you would have to have enrolled by August 25.
How do I pay for my Membership?
After you submit your enrollment request you will receive an electronic invoice from us to submit your payment information online. Please note that enrollment is not an automated process, but we will do our best to send you your invoice within 24 hours.
Your first month’s payment will be processed when you submit your payment information online. Each additional month’s payment will be automatically processed on the 28th day of the month prior. For example:
You join the Wine Club on May 15 and submit your payment information online. Your card would be charged at that time for your Club Membership, which starts in June.
Your card would not be charged on May 28 because you already prepaid for your June Club Membership.
On June 28, your card would be automatically charged for your July Club Membership.
How do I cancel my Membership? Can I place my Membership on hold?
You can cancel your Club Membership at any time. We ask that you provide us with email notice at least three days in advance of your next automatic payment so we can ensure that your card is not charged. You will receive an email confirmation of your cancellation.
If you want to place your Club Membership on hold just let us know via email in advance of your next automatic payment.
How long do I have to pick up my wines? Can you deliver my wines to me? Can I send someone else to pick up my wines?
Your wines can be picked up anytime during or after the Release Party on the second Wednesday of the month. Your best option though is to pick up your wines during the Release Party so you can get your free half-glasses!
We are happy to arrange delivery of your wines for $10 if you live reasonably close to H Street NE.
You can also send anyone over the age of 21 to pick up your wine for you, though they are not eligible for the complimentary tasting during the Release Party unless they are also a Club Member. To designate someone else to pick up your wine please email us.
How often should I expect to hear from The Pursuit if I join the Wine Club?
You will receive an email reminder a few days before your automated payment is processed each month.
You will also receive an email reminder about our Release Party each month.
You may receive special emails with Club Member pricing for our monthly Saturday Wine Tasting events and other special events.
Is my credit card information secure?
Your credit card information is securely stored by our credit card processor Square. We do not have access to your credit card information (other than the last 4 digits of the card).
