Located at the east end of the H Street Corridor, The Pursuit Wine Bar features an extensive by-the-glass wine list paired with contemporary American comfort foods.

The Pursuit Wine Bar opened in June 2014 and is the inaugural restaurant creation of Thomas Boisvert and Kathleen Davis. Since opening its doors, The Pursuit Wine Bar has become a favorite for locals and was named The Best Wine Bar in DC by Washington City Paper for 2015.

The Pursuit Wine Bar's interior was designed by Boisvert and Davis and creates a comfortable and relaxing environment.  The first floor includes a lively bar, open kitchen and secret garden patio out back.  The upstairs lounge houses several comfortable couches and is an ideal setting to kick back and enjoy a few glasses of wine with good friends.  Regardless of where one sits, guests can enjoy over 45 different wines by the glass from a wine list that knows no geographical or varietal boundaries.

Wine Tasting 101

Tuesday, August 11, 2015 7p-8:30p

We look at the typical characteristics of six popular and classic grape varietals (3 white and 3 red) and explain the terminology and techniques of wine tasting.  After learning a basic and methodical approach to describing and assessing the quality of a wine we learn how to recognize the subtle and subjective flavors of wines and, most importantly, convey those flavors to our friends and families.  During this class you will taste an Italian Pinot Grigio, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, a California Chardonnay, an Oregon Pinot Noir, an Argentinian Malbec and a California Cabernet Sauvignon.  Light food items will also be shared.  Students wishing to hang out at The Pursuit after class receive a 20% discount on all wines tasted during class all night long.
